Special Needs Resource Directory

When you have a child with special health care needs, you are faced with the constant challenge of finding information, resources and services. The Special Needs Resource Directory, created by the Center for Infants and Children with Special Needs at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is a comprehensive reference tool for parents, caregivers and health care providers. It can help you quickly find local, regional and national web site links to:
  • Get information on specific disabilities
  • Identify strategies to help you advocate for your child
  • Develop community connections for ongoing support

The Special Needs Resource Directory is a comprehensive accumulation of resources for the Southwest Ohio area. Resources unique to Kentucky and Indiana are also featured, as well as national and international web site links. Updates are made on an ongoing basis.

Our History

Since 2003, Building Blocks for Kids (BB4K) has helped over 450 children with special needs create happier, healthier, and more independent lives. With community fundraising and events, we bridge the gap between needs and resources to improve quality of life for children and support families when they don’t know where to turn. Our grants go to any need regardless of diagnosis, including therapy, home modifications, medical devices, and more. We work to give all of our families the chance to build better and brighter futures—one block at a time.
